Call Of Duty League Names 2020 Sponsors For Franchise Competition

Call of Duty League is franchising its partner list for the New Year 2020. Along with returning sponsors like Mountain Dew Amp Game Fuel and PlayStation, and a replacement one within the American Air Force. CDL, whose 2020 season sets off this weekend in Minneapolis. It is also announcing five sponsorship partners and two licensees for this season, which is that the first under the geolocated/franchised model.

On the sponsor front, Mountain Dew’s gaming drink returns because of the official beverage and now features a deal that runs through 2022. PlayStation 4 is going to be the official platform of the league and, therefore, the presenting sponsor of the decision of Duty Challengers amateur competition, which will be held at league events.

Other returning partners are Astro Gaming and SCUF Gaming, the previous of which now features a deal through 2022. Therefore, the latter of which now features a contract through 2021. Astro holds the official headset and MixAmp category designation, while SCUF is that the official controller. Astro will sponsor a replacement content series for CDL and sponsor its MVP Award on top of creating a special-edition CDL headset and speaker tags for every team. SCUF will activate at its events, sponsor the “Behind the Controller” documentary series and make special-edition CDL controllers for all groups.

The U.S. Air Force has retained an additional contract for one year, which will see it start at events with flight simulators and be included in broadcasts as a sponsor of the “Match Metrics” feature.

Meanwhile, on the licensee front, CDL has added apparel maker Outerstuff because of the developer of player kits and fan apparel, Ness for headwear, plus Mitchell.

Activision Blizzard Esports CRO Brandon Snow, during a statement, said, “We couldn’t be prouder to own these farfetched brands as partners for the opening of “Call of Duty League 2020” season. Our partners not only upkeep the players on their mission to win the initial “Call of Duty League Championship.” But they also provide our supporters around the world a far better experience while attending Home Series matches or streaming reception.”
