Keep reading for some smoothie bowl inspiration.

1. Vegan Spirulina Banana Nice Cream

Banana “nice cream” is a vegan alternative to ice cream, and bonus, it’s also a smoothie bowl if you use a bit more liquid (so consider this more of a nice cream milkshake).

For this, you’re going to want:

  • 1.5 to 2 and overripe frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup (to start) of your plant milk of choice (we suggest coconut)
  • 2 tbs of your favorite vegan yogurt alternative
  • 1 tsp of spirulina
  • A splash of vanilla
  • Your favorite toppings

Once you have your ingredients, making the bowl is easy. Put everything into a blender and blend until smooth. Add more liquid if necessary and sweetener to taste if you need it.

You’ll get a healthy and tasty “ice cream” with the health boost from bananas and spirulina (learn more about that here). Banana nice “cream” is a vegan alternative to ice cream.

2. Antioxidant Powerhouse

Do you want to taste that your smoothie bowl is healthy? No problem. This smoothie bowl tastes as healthy as it looks (but still makes for a tasty breakfast).

For this smoothie, you need:

  • A handful of spinach
  • Half of 1 overripe frozen banana
  • 3/4 cup of your plant milk of choice (to start)
  • Frozen blueberries
  • 1 3.5 oz pack of frozen acai puree
  • 1 to 1.5 tspspirulina
  • Sweetener to taste
  • Fresh blueberries and granola for topping

Again, this smoothie comes together easily once you have the ingredients. Put everything into a blender and blend until smooth. Add more “milk” if necessary (or more frozen blueberries if you find it’s too thin). Top it with granola and blueberries for a filling breakfast.

You can taste how healthy this smoothie bowl is. When taken from healthy plant foods, antioxidants are a crucial part of your diet!

3. Tropical Splash

Do you love a tropical smoothie bowl on a warm summer day? This one is for you. Again, it’s banana-based to get that smooth smoothie bowl texture.

You’ll need:

  • 1/2 frozen overripe banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup of frozen mango
  • 3/4 cup of coconut milk to start (full fat for a richer bowl or from the carton for a lower-calorie snack)
  • 1 tsp of spirulina
  • A splash of apple juice
  • Granola and hemp seeds to top

Put all of your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more liquid if you need it. You’ll end up with a healthy and tropical smoothie bowl that tastes like summer.
