How to raise healthy children in the digital age

  3. You don’t have to teach your child how to use the device at an early age. Don’t worry: Kids will quickly get the hang of it when they get older or start using technology at school.
  4. For children ages 2 to 5, limit screen time to one hour. Watch programs with your child, explaining what’s happening and helping them apply what they’ve learned.
  5. Avoid overly dynamic content, programs with many annoying images, and of course, any programs with violence.
  6. Turn off televisions and other devices when you are finished with them.
  7. Don’t use electronic devices to soothe your child.
  8. Test apps yourself before offering them to children, play together, and ask what the child thinks of a particular app.
  9. Turn off all devices when eating, talking, and playing with your child.
  10. Make it a rule not to use electronic devices an hour before bedtime and remove them from the bedroom at night.


Parents always serve as guides for the child, explaining how the world around them works. And you need to take care of this from an early age and show the pros and cons of technology in our time.
